David Adam Javerbaum is an American comedy writer, lyricist, and librettist. A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, Javerbaum is known for his work on Cry-Baby, The Daily Show, and An Act of God. Javerbaum frequently collaborates with Adam Schlesinger, who he co-wrote “It’s Not Just for Gays Anymore�, the opening number to the 2011 Tony Award, sung by Neil Patrick Harris. Winner of 13 Emmys, Javerbaum is also known for his popular Twitter account @TheTweetOfGod, which was the basis for his play, An Act of God.
