START: Tom: Ent you 鈥榰ngry?
William: (in a whisper) Yes, mister.
Tom: Just a slow chewer, that it?
(William nods)
Best finish your tea afore it gits cold.
(Tom returns to the carrier bag as William sips his tea)
(Tom brings out a small towel. Inside it, he finds a toothbrush and a piece of soap. Next, he finds an old book)
William: That鈥檚 me Bible.
Tom: Ah.
[... 鈥
END: William: Sorry mister.
(He buries his head in Sammy鈥檚 fur.)
(Blowing his nose and wiping his eyes) I ain鈥檛 ungrateful, mister, honest, I鈥檓 happy.
Tom: Don鈥檛 forget to say your prayers.
William: No, mister.
Tom (after a pause) And you鈥檇 best call me Tom. Goodnight and God bless.
William: Goodnight, Mister Tom.
