Text

START. Claire: Bark beetles. The tree is dying. (She notices Ill.) Alfred! Good to see you. I’m visiting my woods.

Ill: Are the woods yours too?

Claire: They are. May I sit next to you?

Ill: By all means. I just said good-bye to my family. They’re going to a movie. Karl bought himself a car.

[... ... ...]

END. Claire: I will take you to Capri in your coffin. I built a mausoleum in the garden of my palazzo. Surrounded by cypresses. Overlooking the Mediterranean.

Ill: I only know it from pictures.

Claire: Deep blue. A grand panorama. There you will remain. With me.

Ill: Now “Home Sweet Home is finished too.
