(Sees next woman. She turns red.)
JANE
(Squinting with a sheepish grin)
Hello, Elena.
ELENA
Hi, Jane.
(Looking awkwardly at one another)
JANE
Elena, I remember how cruel I was to you back in school and I want you to know how badly I always felt.
ELENA
Wow, all these years.
JANE
Yes, I felt guilty all that time and I鈥檓 hoping you can forgive me.
ELENA
Of course I forgive you. Thank you for saying so. It means a lot to me.
JANE
It means a lot to me, too. I鈥檝e always admired you, Elena.
(Facing each other, they smile, clutch each other鈥檚 hands, hug and look at each other admirably. Then Jane turns away to talk to another classmate)
