Mr. Darcy: Lady De Bourgh is my aunt. What are YOU doing here?
Elizabeth: Visiting my best friend. (motions to where Charlotte was standing and notices that she is now gone)
Mr. Darcy:(to audience) Okay. I'm going to skip ahead now because we can't possibly fit every conversation Jane Austen wrote into this play. So Elizabeth and I keep running into each other and each time I realize more and more how smart and amazing she is...
Elizabeth: (taps Mr. Darcy on the shoulder) Um, hello?
Mr. Darcy: (takes a deep breath) In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you. Will you marry me?
Elizabeth: Are you kidding me?
