Text

A bloody Messerschmitt put a cannon shell in our tailplane we went straight down in a dive I heard Dusty on the intercom He said ‘I thought I’d bought it, Skipper, but I’m all right I’m all right!
[...]
When we took off and saw that kite on fire, I didn’t think: ‘There are friends of mine in that. I thought (Slowly.) ‘That might happen to us. Not very pretty, is it?
He recovers himself slowly, PATRICIA watching him in silence. Then he turns away _ from her.
Now you know it. Lack of moral fibre. I’m glad I told you.
